About Me
Just a girl who spends all her time in the gym or at the theatre
Elexious is a born and raised Greenville, SC, native. She holds an MA in Theatre Education from The Catholic University of America and a BA in Performing Arts from Clemson University. She has worked as a drama teacher in the school system and for theaters across upstate South Carolina, like The South Carolina Children's Theatre, where her love of theatre started. She can often be found watching college football, needlepointing, going to the gym, and spending time with her husband and dog, Bruni.
THE JOURNEY
“If you take a child to the theater, not only will they practice empathy, they might also laugh uproariously, or come home singing about science, or want to know more about history, or tell you what happened at school today, or spend all dinner discussing music, or learn how to handle conflict, or start becoming future patrons of the arts.”

Wait, how do you say your name?
My mom knew my name and what I would be called since she was a little girl. Growing up, I really disliked my real name simply because no one knew how to say it. The first day of school was always a hassle; even English teachers couldn't summon all the phonetic power in the world to pronounce my name correctly. It's pronounced uh-LECK-shish. The end is like delicious or pernicious.

I remember going to one of my college auditions and checking in, and the person asked for my name. She heard me say it and then looked at me and my mom and said, "Oh, you've been prepping for this since birth."
That comment alone sums up who I am and why I love theatre. I attended my first class at the age of 3, the first show I was ever in when I was 5, and it's been my nonstop passion ever since.
